Walking in Prophetic Through Prayer

Writer: Ruesion LyonsRuesion Lyons

What occurs when we immerse ourselves in The Holy Spirit? I recall an occasion in Pine Bluff, Arkansas, with Apostle Robbie Henry and Co-Pastor Alverne Batemon present in the church. On a Saturday morning, I was prepared in mind, body, and spirit for prayer. My heart was intent on connecting with The Holy Spirit. Unaware of what was to unfold, I prostrated with my face to the carpet's beauty. As I stepped aside, The Holy Spirit started to intercede through me, and I began to call on the Lord's anointing oil. With my face still to the ground, oblivious to my surroundings, it wasn't until my spiritual mother, Apostle Robbie J. Henry, and Co-Pastor Alverne Batemon of Rhema International Mission Ministries engaged with the angels that I became aware.

The event was unlike any other supernatural occurrence. The Holy Angels filled the temple in numbers too great to count. The Magi entered the church bearing a large vessel of oil and approached the pulpit where the Apostle sat, struck with shock and wonder. They instructed her to open the vessel. Upon opening it, she was astounded to see the oil inside was animate, moving as if it were a living organism. It was indeed alive. This experience transformed the way I prayed and spoke, taking on a new dimension. For those who doubt, this serves as a testament to the power of words. Consider what kind of oil you carry and the quality it represents.

Alverne was dancing with the angel in a beautiful poetic waltz, and I was so captivated I was amazed by what was transpiring in the supernatural. This lasted for some time and we meditated and began to ask The Holy Spirit when did I step into the prophetic realm to open up a portal of prophetic prayer? Henceforth the move of Christ was like no other and no one knows how much I enjoy being in the presence of The Holy Spirit and being an obedient vessel at all times.

Walking in the Prophetic Prayer requires the following:

1. Embrace the Call to Prayer: The Lord is calling you to a deeper place of intimacy through prayer. As you seek Him with all your heart, He will reveal His mysteries to you. “Call to me and I will answer you and tell you great and unsearchable things you do not know.” (Jeremiah 33:3).

2. Cultivate a Listening Heart: In the quietness of your prayer time, listen for His voice. He speaks in whispers and gentle nudges. “Be still and know that I am God.” (Psalm 46:10) Your sensitivity to His Spirit will grow as you spend time in His presence.

3. Align with His Will: As you pray, align your heart with His will. Seek His guidance and direction in all things. “Your kingdom come, your will be done, on earth as it is in heaven.” (Matthew 6:10) His plans for you are perfect and full of purpose.

4. Speak His Words with Boldness: The prophetic anointing will flow through you as you declare His words with boldness. “But the one who prophesies speaks to people for their strengthening, encouraging and comfort.” (1 Corinthians 14:3) Let His words bring life and hope to those around you.

5. Walk in Faith and Obedience: Step out in faith and obedience as He leads you. Trust that He will equip you for every good work. “For we walk by faith, not by sight.” (2 Corinthians 5:7) Your obedience will open doors for His miraculous power to be displayed.

6. Intercede for Others: Your prayers have the power to change lives. Intercede for those in need, and watch as God moves on their behalf. “And pray in the Spirit on all occasions with all kinds of prayers and requests.” (Ephesians 6:18) Your intercession is a powerful weapon in the spiritual realm.

7. Stay Humble and Teachable: Remain humble and teachable, always seeking to grow in your prophetic gift. “He guides the humble in what is right and teaches them his way.” (Psalm 25:9) A humble heart is a vessel for His glory.

8. Give God All the Glory: In all things, give God the glory. It is His power and presence that works through you. “Not to us, Lord, not to us but to your name be the glory, because of your love and faithfulness.” (Psalm 115:1) Let your life be a testimony of His greatness.
